Social media marketing made for dog groomers

Hey, I'm Izzy!

Dog groomer, social media enthusiast and the face behind The Social Dog Groomer.

I know what it's like to finish a busy day grooming, look at your phone and realise you haven't posted anything on social media all week.

You've spent the day making dogs look beautiful, keeping customers happy, answering messages and managing appointments. And somewhere amongst all that, you're supposed to find the time to market your business too.

Sound familiar?

That's exactly why I created The Social Dog Groomer.

From grooming dogs to helping groomers grow

I've been a professional dog groomer for over eight years, running my own business, Izzy's Groom Room, in Essex.

I've experienced the busy days, the quieter weeks, the last-minute cancellations and the constant juggling act of being both a groomer and a business owner.

And I've learned something important along the way.

Being brilliant at grooming doesn't automatically mean people know your business exists.

You can produce the most beautiful grooms, offer an amazing service and genuinely love what you do. But if the right local customers aren't discovering you, your skills aren't getting the attention they deserve.

That's where social media marketing comes in.

Marketing that makes sense for groomers

I created The Social Dog Groomer, formerly Flare Business, to make social media marketing easier to understand and actually useful for grooming businesses.

Not just posting another before-and-after photo and hoping someone books. I'm talking about understanding who you want to attract, showing people what makes your salon different and creating content that gives potential customers a reason to choose you.

Because social media isn't just about getting likes or followers. It's about getting your grooming business seen by the right people.

Through practical workshops, bite-sized video lessons, marketing resources, the Consistency Club and my podcast, I help groomers develop the confidence and skills to market their businesses with purpose.

Whether you're struggling with Canva, confused by algorithms, unsure what to post or simply want more enquiries from local dog owners, I'm here to help you make sense of it.

I'm still behind the grooming table, too!

And that's something I'm proud of.

I'm not teaching marketing from the outside looking in. I'm still working with dogs, managing appointments and experiencing the realities of running a grooming business.

I understand that you don't have endless hours to spend creating content, and that your marketing needs to work around your salon, not take over your life.

My goal is to help you build a grooming business that stands out for all the right reasons, attracts more of the customers and breeds you love working with, and makes social media feel manageable.

Your grooming skills deserve to be seen.

Let's make sure they are.
